ILL Overdue Fines

 

Did you know that ILL materials that are returned late do not automatically charge fines to the patron’s account?  Circulation Staff must look at the date on the pink slip and then determine the amount of overdue fines which should be added based on the number of days late the materials are. Instructions are written on each pink ILL slip. OV ILL Fines are $1.00 per day.

 

 

 

Patrons' Fines

If patrons have fines on their account, please let them know about the fines, even if it's below $2. This is so they are aware of their balance, and won't ask why they weren't told when they previously checked out.

Stories To Go Items

Do not renew Stories To Go books! No fine is charged to the patron for overdue Stories To Go items, but they do receive a hand written notice for the cost of the items from the Book Mobile.

Please inform patrons of owed fines

Please inform patrons when they have fines, even if they are still able to check out and it is only 20 cents. Thanks.

Removing Fines Properly

Please be sure to remove fines properly. (if they have multiple charge types - overdues, rentals, friends basket, etc., uncheck all the boxes next to the charges then select the charge(s) you want to take off.)
