Children's / Stories To Go Books
Several boxes of Children's books are being added to the book mobile. These books have been changed in the system to Stories to Go, however, they will keep their existing barcodes. For example, you may have a children's book with a South barcode that checks in as Stories To Go. DO NOT send these to Tech; this is the way they will be from now on, There will be a label on the spine that identifies it as a Stories To Go item (RLBSRO)

Texts Not Working
If patrons are not receiving their texts, please make sure they have the correct carrier and phone number selected. If they are still having issues please place inside the e-mail section of their account their ten digit phone number and the e-mail address of the phone carriers.
Below is a cut and paste of an article on how to send text messages through e-mail.
Below is a cut and paste of an article on how to send text messages through e-mail.
"Sending SMS through email is very easy. The key is knowing the correct email format to use. Using this information you can send text messages to the major mobile providers.
Sending text messages through email is free for the sender. The receiver will pay his or her normal messaging charge. Often I use these email to SMS techniques to send alerts from my servers to my mobile devices if something goes wrong.
I try to double check and update these frequently. Several mobile providers have recently combined. Nextel is now part of Sprint, and Cingular has been purchased by AT&T. As the services fold into one another, the email addresses will eventually combine.
Here are the email addresses for the 6 most popular cellular phone carriers:
T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
where phonenumber = your 10 digit phone number"
